The presentation of your work is essential to its success.
Here are some guidelines.
- Word-process your work, refining the content by reference to the draft.

Use a serif font for the body text. Times New Roman is appropriate.
- Use 12 point font size for the body text.
- Use double spacing to separate paragraphs.
- Avoid underlining titles, headings, and sub-headings.
- Leave wide margins.
- Write on one side of page only.
- Select the appropriate information type (table, diagram, bulleted list)
- Number your pages.
- Use a consistent page layout.
- Signpost introduction, sections, conclusion, bibliography.
- Choose footnotes rather than end notes.
- Include the full title of your essay, dissertation or project.
- Include the date, your full name and the recipient's name.
- Present your piece in a suitable binder which allows for easy progress through the work.
- If you choose plastic wallets, use a separate one for every page.
