MANCAT expands its Headstart provision
After the success of a pilot group this year, the college has plans to expand the use of Headstart to help study skills. In particular, the use of many of the level three resources to blend in with the tutorial provision. This is also an excellent way of introducing more ILT resources into the curriculum.
Many thanks to the team at Headstart for developing these materials and administering the tailored courses on the website.
Inspection success for Headstart at CCM
The GCSE Headstart programme at City Campus has been a particular success. This group were observed unexpectedly by Alison Baterip, English Inspector, during the recent Inspection.
She was so impressed that it became a 'Key Strength' (one of four) for the team. This is credit to the fact that this group are online further than others and this has added to motivation and attendance. We need to roll out this strength to The Northenden Campus.
