Analyse your material

Analysing your data in direst reference to the brief will result in a good quality response.

Follow these guidelines.

  • Take another good look at the original brief and at your version of it.

  • Keep this in full view whilst you work.

  • Gather all your collected essential data in front of you in various forms.

  • Arrange the data into the classifications which become obvious ( between three and five units).

  • Do this by constantly referring to the brief and deciding which unit relates to which component of the brief.

  • Discard any irrelevant information.

  • Give each classification unit a working title.

  • You may find the mock-up method useful.
