Organise your material

Organising your classified data creates a clear line of argument for your reader. This means developing a logical structure.

Follow the stages listed below.

  • Take a good look at your working titles.
     
  • Decide on the order in which they should appear in the finished work.
     
  • This is the time to use the mock-up method.
     
  • Chronology is best avoided as a main structure as it can be very restrictive.
     
  • Ordering by theme allows more scope for in-depth reference.
