BrainPOP
A wonderful site for revision on a whole range of science and technology topics at Key Stage 4 from genetics to waves. Choose a topic and whilst the short 'movie' loads you get the opportunity to answer multiple choice quiz questions. You will have to record your own performance but, if you do badly, watch the movie and try again!

The National Coaching Foundation
This is the only website dedicated to sports coaching in the UK. It contains comprehensive information on the work of the NCF, courses, products, and links. The site also has a bulletin board and there is useful information for GCSE and A level Sports Studies projects. The 'Education and Information Services' section of this site has details on what it takes to be an effective coach and the qualifications needed.

Bitesize
What the BBC claims to be the 'first ever revision guide via TV, books and the Internet'. Bitesize is a nicely produced site, with slick ../graphics of a smiling shark to guide you around. As the name suggests, the site doesn't attempt to talk you through endless reams of text - there's very little point in that approach online anyway - but instead provides digestible, bite-size gobbets of information to assist your GCSE revision. The list of subjects covered is impressive: Physical Education, design and technology, religious education and Spanish to name just four.
