DAY ONE - Planning your course6. AdministrationIt is important that the administrative tasks relating to the course are carried out efficiently.
Accreditation The course is accredited by Manchester Open College Network, at Level 3 with 2 Credits. It equates to part of an A Level. MOCN have looked carefully at the course and have accepted it as it stands. Therefore, if tutors do not deliver the course and collect in the assignments as set out, they will not have their work credited by MOCN. This means that funding will be lost and the students will not get the qualification they have worked for. At the end of the course, you should collect 3 students' assignments, photocopy them and return the originals to the students. The copies should be retained as evidence, and sent in when requested by the accrediting body. Submission of assignments Students should hand in assignments using the assignment cover sheets contained in the Student Admin section of the Headstart file. These should contain the names of both tutor and student. It is important that they follow this system because:
Feedback On the last day of the course, ask your group to complete and hand in the feedback forms contained in the Admin section of their files. Encourage them to write as much as they can, using the back of the page if necessary. You should emphasise that feedback is anonymous, and use comments to help you to improve delivery in the future. |
