Writing for Headstart — What is it?This page of a module defines its subject. You should state in simple terms what the student will be learning. There is no need to go into detail - though you might need to outline an example. The subject might be a general topic such as 'Writing Skills'. Or it might be specific, such as 'Speed Reading' or 'Web Design'. Your writing task now is to compose the 'What is it?' page for your course module. You should make the subject clear as briefly as possible. You can make preliminary notes, then SAVE your work. The purpose of this exercise is to clarify both the content and the structure of a module. It is not to complete the writing of the whole module. Here is a page template in Microsoft Word format. It contains the instructions written above, which can be deleted when you have composed your notes.
